Mostly long road trips but extra range in general is always welcome. Sure, DEF tank, what SCR uses. There's a chance I may or may not be using DPF or SCR so that would make it easier. Otherwise, it does sound like a lot of moving around. The transfer tank idea sounds like a better option...

I don't want an aux fuel tank and I understand it's not original to the 3.0. I'm using the original term in the sense of an original manufacturer part.

Just want to increase factory fuel capacity using original components without carrying extra external containers. Basically swap the 3.0 tank for the 3.6.

What about removing the 3.0 tank, SCR tank, installing the 3.6 tank on the passenger side and running the exhaust on the driver side?

Are there any fitment issues retrofitting the larger gas tank onto the EcoDiesel, sans SCR tank? Will the fuel pump/sending units swap?

Thanks! I looked at that same diagram but started to wonder if something changed on the gen 3 motors. Maybe not and it's just a bad controller.

#6 = driver's side, closest to firewall? Getting a p0676 for #6 glow plug but it measured within spec using my multimeter. Swapped with #5 and it's still getting p0676. I'll try the controller next but I started second-guessing myself on the cylinder order, lol.
