I’d guess that if the recall corrects the issue, then probably not as many as you would think. It’s not as if an ICE vehicle is immune from fire risk. I seem to recall that Jeeps with manual transmissions were recalled for a potential fire risk as well.

So maybe a better question would be, if Jeep continues to produce wranglers will we see increased fire risks from all their products?

This is bull crap. The ONLY Jeeps that are allowed to explode are those equipped with the manual transmission. Exploding 4xe's are going to ruin our hard earned reputation as the primary way to spectacularly display our good taste in vehicular choice.

FCA is going to have to issue a recall, and fast!

I went to my dealer looking to trade my 2019 2dr Wrangler Sport for a new one of the same. The salesman worked up a quote for a 2024 model since 2dr manuals aren't stocked then went outside to see my Jeep. A few minutes later the Sales Manager approached and said he was sorry to inform me that my car was under recall and he couldn't take it in trade. Took me a while to get over that one!

Good news is next day I visited another dealer who actually had a new 2023 2dr manual in stock, and was told that there is now a fix for the transmission and they would have the car ready in about a week. They also accepted my 2019 in trade.
