2.0 Coolant Reservoir Replacement

Yea the tank sucks. I ended up biting the bullet and shelling out for the Baja customs aluminum heater hose tee and the mishimoto coolant tank.

I hear you can use their T fitting on the bottom of the tank, just plug the small hose fitting. It would be nice if they made it with an aluminum elbow on the tank and abandon that stupid plastic bottom fitting.

The guy that runs Baja customs said he’s been planning on making that 90 but just hasn’t had time lately. Which sucks cause I’d buy it immediately lol

This seller has aluminum tank with aluminum steel 90 degree bend.
I don't know how good it is, but some people on 2.0L JL FB group said they just used the elbow part and worked fine.

I haven't used this Y hose either, but looks the same as stock oplastic one and some people have used it with success, again, according to ppl on 2.,0L JL FB group.

Good info, that 90 is exactly what I’m after. I have a few spare plastic ones in the jeep from work but the steel one would be sweet

There's a Y part further down from the elbow.

And yes, but I preferred to use Mishimoto one to replace the plastic tank.

I’m sure some of them are perfectly fine. I just opted to go for the option with least risk and an actual functioning coolant level view window.

Just as an update, the seller was willing to sell just the elbow and the T and I just purchased both. I guess they didn't want to sell just the elbow. Now awaiting shipping.
