RK got a slight edge partially for not being gold.

The zinc is a great primer to paint over if you want custom color and the corrosion resistance.

AEV 2.5" Dual Sport RT Lift Kit | Wrangler JL | 392 HEMI, V6, Turbo, Diesel – RubiTrux A 2.5" lift should work just fine with 35s or even 37s, we actually use this lift kit onalot of our JLs. AEV is a very trusted brand that we've been using for years because they're known for their comfortability and reliability! But with bigger tires comes more strain on your suspension so make sure to upgrade your steering components as well, like ball joints, steering stabalizer, track bar, etc. All of this can be found on our website and we are more than happy to answer all of the questions you may have! If you decide to get anything from our website we would love to see pictures of your finished build so we can post it on our social medias!

Have done plenty of black trails in places like Good Evening Ranch on my setup, if you want to go the minimalist route.
Clayton 1.5" Ride Right (net 2"), Fox shocks, gutted factory fenders, 37" MTBBAT
When the steering wore out a bit ago I went with the @CavFab_mfg steering with a thru shaft ATS and Dynatrac ball joints.
I have no worries or concerns going just about everywhere others in my group are going. Sometimes I might drag a little belly but it is what it is.
I'm now at 87k miles and DD my Jeep currently.

Edit: I did regear to 4.88
Agreed. I went with the Mopar 2" (which gave me close to 4"), and it made the 33" tires look very small. I have 35x12.5 now, and I'd consider getting skinnier 34/35s.

For some casual off roading, a stock Rubi is so capable. It gets pretty expensive with the kit, the install, the new tires, and the regearing. Not to be that guy in the thread, front/rear diff skid guards, and entry/exit skid guards, and I think that's all most people really need.

I would always suggest 3.5 and 37s to family, friends, and others in my group as a baseline. You can still daily 37s with no issues, and the supporting mod path is under the threshold for other parts like hydro assist, driveshafts, other hd steering components and such.

Both the JLUR and JT run metalcloak 3.5" springs. The wife dailies the JL on 39s and has no problem getting in and out. With the wheelbase even on 37s it dragged the belly too often on 2" of lift.

I have run AEV 2.5 and 3.5 on my JK's and now on my JLUR..it is a great lift for the money...super nice on the road and handles fast ie 80-85mph twisty two lanes really well..the one down fall is it does not flex the greatest.. not that flex is the end all...I have had zero rubbing with 37's in Moab but pretty common to have at least one wheel in the air sometimes two...my AEV 3.5 on my jk's flexed better than the 2.5 dualsport on the jl does.
