Currently have 24 4xe Willys that is a lease. It's goes back at the end of the year. Trying to decide on a Rubi or get a sport and upgrade it over the next few years. I do some light wheeling but will be taking more trips to the west to do some BOH trails. I like the 4.10 gears on D44s with the...
Just went to DT to get a tire patched. They let me know that the fronts were down to 4/32 at 15k miles. I checked them myself when I got back to the house and they definitely show more wear than the fronts. I did a 5 tire rotation at around 8.5k. I do wheel a bit but nothing crazy. These are...
Hi All -
My fiancé and I will be heading to Colorado Springs for New Year's from Austin. We will be making the trek back to Texas and going through NM before heading home. Looking for some overland trails or backroads that we can take for some scenery. Not looking to crawl, just a nice easy...
I guess you can add me to the list of this issue. Was out yesterday around a the trail with some friends. Nothing wild, dry as a bone. Drove home no issues. Woke up this morning with a CEL, the red wrench and this message on my dash. Odd thing is that it charged fully over night, started this...
Well. Had something interesting happen to me today. Driving down the highway and heard a couple of chunks. Pulled over and checked for missing bolts, etc. Then checked the front suspension and behold, no drivers sway bar link. These are TF QDs. Only thing I can think of is the bolt came loose...
Well, became initiated in the jeep world today and had a rock hit the windshield. A few hours later it developed into a nice little crack in the shape of a J. Question i have now, is the windshield under warranty for replacement? It's gorilla glass so I'd like to stick with that since it's also...
Ok, this is a question and not a debate. I've already installed my lift and did it by the book and loosened all the control arm bolts beforedroppingthe axles and torquedback when it was on the ground. No issues there. I understand that you do this to prevent binding of the bushings. My only...
Just installed a TF 1.5 spacer kit and rear links. They appear to be pretty close, if not rubbing against the tires\wheels. Currently they are outboard of the swaybar and axle. I was planning on swapping them to the inside (saw this recommended in another thread). Anyone had any issues doing this?
So glad I leased my 4xe

Ive searched but havent found anyone that actually has an answer, just what they have used, which is all over the place. Ill be installing a lift and have a 3 ton floor jack. Its a low profile jack with a max lift of 20". I already know that I will need to get bigger jack stands. Has anyone used...
Narrowed it down to 2 lifts. Trying to decide between the Evo Stage 2 or Teraflex ST2 both 2.5" lifts. Ill be running the stock 33" tires for about 6 months then bumping to 34\35". Wont be doing heavy wheeling, may hit lighter trails in CO or Moab in the next year or so but not climbing walls...
Alright, found and pulled the rear drain plugs on my 24 (dont ask). Odd thing however, no cut outs in the rear carpet to access them. I had to pull the carpet up a little to get to them. Anyone else (not) see this?
So I am looking at doing a 2.5-3" lift. Last lift I got was for my F150 several years ago and had a shop do a full kit. Question for this one is should I piece the kit together or buy an all in one kit. I have seen some that dont offer shocks\struts or they do as an upgrade but they may not...
Hey folks...
Sorry if this has been beaten to death. '24 Willys with no Aux switches. Just found the switches under the dash and will be digging for them soon in the engine bay. Since the wiring is all there, I am assuming that I will only need the main aux switch that goes into the dash along...
Hey folks, just got my Jeep in December. Managed to get the top off using a homemade hoist with a hand crank. While lowering the top, one of the pulleys pulled out of the wall. Fortunately it only dropped about a foot and there wasnt any damage. This is exactly why I didnt want to hang it from...
