Mine are Toyos as well, but i had to drop to 27 psi to get an even contact patch, anything higher and there was a good inch on each side not touching the ground
What's the actual measured height of those tires on an 8.5" wide wheel? My 35s only measure 33.25" on an 8.5" wheel.
Your Jeep looks good with that setup.
I hope you walked the pedestrian portion of them too. Its a totally different feel when you're walking them, all you can see is sand in every direction.
And here's a obligatory dunes pic...I was an XJ guy prior
I would check for dried coolant residue under the reservoir bottle and by the thermostat housing. Other than that, Im not sure. It could be leaking slow enough and just burning off.
Mostly the smell on startup, and knowing it's a common issue, i stuck a borescope in each cylinder and found one was perfectly steam cleaned.
I ended up doing both sides, which added to the time, and I sent the head to the machine shop to get them milled and checked.
Mine was leaking into the cylinders on overnight soaks when the engine cooled to ambient. I could smell it in the exhaust on initial startup, and it would be fine the rest of the day. On the cooler nights, I would get enough misfire to either disable the start/stop system, and sometimes...
From what I have read on here, the remains aren't the best quality, if the rest of the engine is sound, I would fix it.
I picked up a factory service manual from someone on here and used that. I'll see if I can find who I got it from.
Edit: I got it from Jeep Wick.
It wasn't fun at all. I'm pretty good at turning wrenches and struggled on a few things. Getting the front cover off is a challenge, there is no where to be able to pry on it, heat is your friend. All in all it took me about 25 hours working a few hours at a time.
I just replaced mine on my 2018 at 85k miles. Passenger side cylinder 3 was leaking coolant. Once I tore into it, I noticed I needed 2 cams as well, it did not make any noise before, I caught them just in time. I replaced all 4 cams, since I had them out anyway, along with all of the...
I went with Lasfit, very happy with them. They look very similar to stock switches, the wiring harness is good quality and fit well, and they come with relay boxes that mount under the hood. Each switch has a lead terminated under the hood and in the cab for easy wiring.
Does it get good reception mounted on the tailgate like that? I have a cb antenna there with an extra hole, I might move GMRS antenna there if it works good.
