The basic stuff. 2020 JLU Sahara app 48,000 miles.
But.... wondering if you all have changed (or had it changed) your coolant and your automatic transmission fluid?
I had a chance to look and found that the linkage from the actuator to the waste gate had become disconnected from the actuator. Apparently, the snap ring (c clip) had come off allowing the linkage to come off the actuator stud. I placed the linkage back on the stud and installed a snap ring...
Hi all, I just had the check engine light pop on. Had the codes read and here is what popped up:
TCM P1DB6-00 Vehicle Speed Signal Performance
and PCM P0244 Turbocharger/supercharger Wastegate Actuator "A" Range/Performance
Engine/components are stock (well, entire jeep for that matter)...
Thanks, all.
I had them pull and catch the oil and wipe. Nothing on the plug. The oil was dark blue-ish (not brown as I previously mentioned). There were no shavings or really any discernable particles, just some similar ultrafine, "can't really feel it with your fingers" type particles. The...
Question regarding possible metal in the rear differential. My mechanic (who I feel is pretty trustworthy) showed me a sample of oil he removed from the rear diff. The oil was a dark brown and when he moved his finger through it, there was a bit of a "grey streak." To me, the "metal" is...
Thanks for everyone's reply. I replaced the tires and it made a substantial difference. It should be fine until I get back to my "home territory" and trusted mechanic to check everything else out.
We're just mall-crawlers :CWL: no mods and no offroading. I didn't think the updates should affect the situation, but it was at a Jeep dealer, so ya never know if they run into something, etc:crying: Because I was going to replace the tires in 2 months anyway, I think I will start there. Then...
We are traveling currently, about 1800 miles from my "home " area. I have an appointment with my trusted local mechanic in early June. But I don’t think it would be great to tow (behind the motorhome) with this issue. I was also planning to replace the tires then, also.
Question is: should I...
Looked back at the recall notice (FCA actually titles it "Customer Satisfaction Notification "....go figure!), it was to update the PCM (powertrain control module) and the PIM (power inverter module). When the wobble occurs as indicated in my original post, it shakes the steering wheel and...
2020 JLU Sahara with 2.0 turbo. I've been very happy with our Wrangler since we purchased it new in 2020. We now have about 32,000 miles on it (plus another 15,000 flat-towing it behind our motorhome.
It has always been a smooth ride (for a Jeep!) with no vibration going down the roads...
I didn't read all of the replies, but you could check to see if that battery, being associated with the ESS, is covered by a longer "environmental emissions" warranty.
Our 2.0 turbo is a bit over 3 years old. I like it so far. The only issue I've had with it was about 6 months in one of the oil lines to the turbo sprung a leak and was replaced under warranty. My first Jeep so no experience with other powertrains.
On our 2020 Wrangler jlu Sahara in Punk'n with 2.0, we sustained hail damage to the hood. I haven't found that any dents have cracked paint, but I haven't looked at the dents with a magnifying glass.
If I can't get the dents taken out at a reasonable cost, then I'll replace this stock hood...
