That tank unfortunately has failures and zero warranty (or baffles in the tank). The mishi is baffled and has a lifetime warranty against failures. Up to you obviously but the Amazon seller isn’t gonna care they sold you a bad product
I didn’t drain the whole system. I just sucked out the coolant from the tank, did the replacement, then refilled the new tank. Drove it around and added coolant as required over the next two days.
great idea, these are available in Amazon but how would brass react to the radiator fluid overtime?So I am in the process of replacing the weak parts which are bound to fail. My tank and heater hose T is on order but we came across this plastic joint also picture 1. My friend who takes care of all out vehicles and bikes had this brass fitting lying around so he swapped the plastic T with this. The plastic was brittle. Its almost the same size and fit easily.
I ordered the pair connectors yesterday but seller emailed me today that they cannot fulfill my order probably they ran out. do you have the link to the elbow you ordered?

My tank arrived about a week ago and was looking at the bottom of that tank, what was the hole for found underneath?Mine just arrived. Loving the build and design features of this coolant tank. The fluid level window quick check simplifies everything. 10/10 for Mishimoto.
The one by the lower mounting tab? That's for the overflow if your coolant system builds up too much pressure. You can see the tube coming out just under the cap, then runs through the top of the tank to the bottom as a vent. Better down than everywhere!
what about the t-fitting on the front? in the first pic it seems leaking as well?I just installed the Mishimoto tank and baja customs T fitting a few weeks ago. So far so good.
