My 2023 Rubicon build headache

Okay so just got a call from Tom Woods shafts. The 47” it is, they said is perfect length. They said they are going through it and if the bend in the tubing can be heated and straightened. Then that’s what they will do. If not they will cut the bend out and re-tube it.
also sending me a new rear shaft yoke.

Great to hear. I’m envious. I’ve always been a yellow guy for anything with wheels. But I believe Diablo had this limited Ed. Champagne color. Maybe 94. It’s been in my phone forever. The picture. Haha

Good call, that is actually the special 30th anniversary paint color from 1993. They did offer it as a special order in later years, and I was close to buying a Roadster in that color, but the owner died during the negotiations and his wife needed to step back and work out the estate.

If you want to see one in that color, go check out the movie Pain and Gain with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson. I have a picture of Wahlberg driving it around Miami, I’ll see if I can dig it up.

Perfect!! Of course I’ve seen that movie. I’m from Boston!! I remember another Diablo in the Exit Wounds movie with DMX. But that one was a silver I think.

Okay, newest update so far.. Tom Woods shipped back my rebuilt rear driveshaft. The current measurement of 47" they stated was perfect for my application. They also sent me out a brand new rear yoke with the U-bolts. I dropped it off Friday morning to my mechanic. Told me he will get to it on Monday. So fingers crossed this is going to get me back on the road. Because, honestly I have run out of excessive funds to repair anything else at this point. I have reached out to an attorney on Thursday. With my jeep being in the shop 11 of the 16 months I have owned it, that is one thing, but now I have had to turn down work outta state because I don't have my jeep. So now it is costing more than just the jeep. My lively hood, has been crushed.

I will update once I learn more Monday afternoon.
